CLEARY BUILDING CORP. VERONA EMPLOYEE IS FIRST PARTICIPANT IN THE CLEARY/MATC CORPORATE TO COLLEGE INITIATIVE
Cleary Building Corp. is proud to congratulate Bridget Flood, Loss Control & DOT Coordinator at Cleary’s Verona, WI World Headquarters office, for being the first participant to receive class credit from Madison Area Technical College for completing Cleary’s Steel Wood University training.
Flood recently received her Masters of Branch Administration certification from Steel Wood University, and because she is currently enrolled at MATC, she qualified to earn three college credits towards an associate’s degree. The three credits she’s earned through Cleary’s Steel Wood University training course are equivalent to a semester long class at MATC. The unique agreement between Cleary and MATC is the first of its kind in the state of Wisconsin, and a program that Flood was more than happy to participate in.
“MATC is a great school for non-traditional students and the Corporate to College program goes hand-in-hand with the non-traditional student, they are a perfect match,” said Flood.
When asked if she would recommend the Cleary/MATC Corporate to College program to fellow employees, Flood didn’t hesitate to give it a thumbs up for anyone who’s interested.
“I was able to take a class at Cleary that’s based on project management in a real-world work setting and get college credit for it,” said Flood. “In my opinion, the best way to learn is when you can put concepts into reality. It was an all-around great experience for me, and I would recommend Corporate to College to anyone who is looking to move ahead educationally and professionally!”
Flood is currently enrolled in the Human Resources Management program at MATC, and hopes to be finished up in 2016. She also has her eyes on working for a Bachelor’s degree after she’s wrapped up with MATC.
Steel Wood University is an extensive training program designed to teach both new and veteran employees the fundamentals of success at Cleary Building Corp. The week long course includes training on leadership, accountability and customer service.
